My 24-hours in Hong Kong

Although Hong Kong is only a 3 hour flight from Shanghai, I still had not visited. That’s why when my college friend, Jessie Blazjewski (can’t make up a last name like that!), emailed to say she was swinging through Hong Kong as part of a business trip I grabbed a ticket. Now that I’m a full-time working woman I wasn’t able to go for long but 24-hours was just enough time to catch up and enjoy the city.

Pictures 1-3: For lunch we stopped at Socialito, a gourmet street-side taco shop serving yummy margaritas and the usual Mexican fare. Hong Kong is so much warmer than Shanghai (high 70’s verses Shanghai’s 50’s) and it was great to sit outdoors.

Picture 4: A modern furniture store with a Brooklyn, N.Y. sticker in the window – cute to see all the way in Hong Kong

Picture 5: Halloween costumes in full effect

Picture 6 & 7: After dinner at Italian restaurant Posto Pubblico in SoHo we checked out the speakeasy Feather Boa. I had a chocolate martini with malted milk balls. A delicious end to my quick Hong Kong Trip!
